Inside...Legacy Wealth Mangement

I haven't ever taken pictures of J's office since Leslie finished decorating. After picking Emerson up on her last day of school, we drove downtown so I could help measure flower beds for landscaping. I finally remembered to take some inside pictures.

The outside looks a little strange because the awning cover is off. We are in the process of getting a new one.

I love this place. Like really, really love it. I'm so thankful for the talents of my precious friend and the long search for this building. It was well worth the wait.

This summer, I am enough

Such a perfectly timed blog post. I love when I come across something like this and it speaks so loudly to me.

Randomness

1. My eldest is reading up a storm. She finished Kindergarten and can read 50+ page chapter books. I love to see her sneaking a book every chance she gets.

2. I got my fingers caught in the mixer two nights ago while making a cake. I was trying to eject the beaters and accidentally hit the ON button instead. I've always wondered what would happen if this scenario occurred...well, the good new is I still have all of my fingers. And they are not broken. They just kind of twisted around, and luckily I flipped it off quickly. This is a strange story, no?

3. Summer is here! I find myself getting equal parts excited and equal parts overwhelmed by this. I think if I could set aside 4-5 hours, sit down with my calendar, and make an overall plan for each day at home with my babies, I would feel better. But who's got time for that? I really just want to make sure we have a good balance of activities and down time (mostly down time).  I also want to make sure I schedule a babysitter twice a month or so. 'Cause this girl's gonna need some momma time.

4. My husband thinks it's a really great idea to feed each of our kids a prune about once a week. What he doesn't realize is that I have to suffer the ramifications of this idea for about 24 hours afterwards. Chemical warfare up in herrr.

5. The kids started swim lessons today with dear Mr. Kem. During Jax's turn, Emerson noticed he was floundering in the water a little bit, and she lost it. Through her tears she said, "Mommy, Jax is the only brother I've GOT. It's not okay if he drowns." Presh.

Spring Soccer - Last Games

What a fantastic spring soccer season Emerson and Jax had. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them develop and excel and learn so much from this game. As I've said before, I didn't grow up playing soccer, so I'm learning right along with them.

The Knights ended up undefeated until their very last game. We were so proud!!

How cute are these little blondies?

Thank you, Coach Trevor, for a fantastic season!

I guess you're officially a soccer mom when you wear the shirt. Ali, Misty & Amy...I had so much fun hanging out with you!!

Emerson's season ended a week later. The Power Pumas were such a fun team to watch! Emerson was the only one who had played before, and watching the girls develop and gain confidence was really amazing. Each of these girls is so precious to us!

Coach Van giving out trophies and words of affirmation. :)

Twins.

I love when this boy wears his hat backwards. Takes me straight back to Haskell Hall at NSU, circa 1999.

Both kids decided they wanna do fall soccer this year, and Jax is continuing to practice with a larger group of boys his age. I just THOUGHT this was a part-time sport! Ha!

April Picture Post (2 of 2)

The HH Kindergartners got to dress up as brides/grooms, queens, or quarterbacks...all in celebration of "The Wedding of Q and U." Emerson threw on a dress-up bridal gown, and Grammy let her wear her wedding veil. She felt quite special that morning.

This guy was cool as a cucumber for his first dentist appointment.

Early-morning couch snugglers.

They like to place action figures on the window sill next to the front door and use them for target practice.

Jax's class visited the Tulsa Children's Museum.

April Picture Post (1 of 2)

All I've done the past few months is post pictures, but I can't seem to find the time to sit down and actually write a creative blog post. So you're stuck with pictures for the time being.

More soccer pics of Jax:

This girl can't wait to play next spring!

The Knights. Seriously good!

I just realized I didn't get any pics of Emerson playing soccer in April. Mommy fail! Since J coaches, I'm constantly trying to balance watching the game and paying attention to Jax & Hayden. Leaves little time for picture-taking. :) Sorry, sister!

The birthday ninja.

Who manages to clear his schedule to play a little Hello Kitty Trouble game with sister.

And enjoy a birthday waffle.

Shooting the rocket in the back yard.

Kindergarten family math morning in the cafeteria. The sibs had a great time interacting with Em and her classmates.

This one is too presh for words.
