I love this VIDEO of him from a couple of weekends ago at a tourney at the BOK center.

My Hot Date
This hottie took me to Fleming's Steakhouse at Utica on Saturday night for a belated birthday dinner. We had a ridiculously great time. Every year I tell him all I really want is to go out with him and get a sitter for the kids. Truly my idea of the perfect birthday!
On my birthday (Thurs), my friend Kim treated me to a free massage (she owns Forrest Therapeutic), and then the rest of the day I spent shopping. I had strict orders from J to not come home until dinner. He picked all the kids up from school/preschool and totally held the fort down until I returned. He's the best! And what's amazing about him is that hanging with all three munchkins is no big deal for him. He enjoys playing with them and having them all to himself. That's what makes escaping so enjoyable. I never worry if everything is going well at home.
Thank you, love, for making my 35th one of the best birthdays ever. Spending quality time with you reminds me of all the reasons I fell in love with you over 14 years ago. Goodness gracious, I adore you so much!

Green Smoothie
I used Food Babe's recipe and added frozen mango and about 1 tsp of honey. I also add my Arbonne protein powder when I want to use it as a meal replacement.
It tastes veeeerrrrryyyy green, but that's kind of the whole point. Trust me, it's much more enjoyable to drink veggies than eat that many in one day. You should try it! It makes enough for a giant mason jar, and you will feel extremely full after you drink it.
The new year always helps me refocus my eating and working out schedule. I've been eating fairly strictly Paleo for about a year now, and I have no plans to change that. We always allow ourselves two meals to eat whatever we want, but the rest of the week, I feel best when I stick to lean protein, veggies, and fruit. No dairy, no grains, no sugar.
The working out is where I really plan to revamp my routine. This past year I have maintained my 20-pound weight loss, but I look back and realize I got stuck in a rut at the gym, doing classes that weren't pushing me to my max, and I didn't run as much as I should have. So I've got Insanity, Ballet Body Fusion, No Limits Circuit, and long runs on my workout agenda each week. I'm gonna be 35 this week, and I'm feeling better than I have in a really, really long time. I want to keep the momentum going...I'm sure as heck not getting any younger!

Video of the Week
I'm waaaay behind on uploading my videos. The "Days of the Week" song took a turn for the crazy last summer with Sauce at the helm. Who am I kidding...everything takes a turn for the crazy with Sauce at the helm.

Start of a new week
This was on my plate at lunch today. Fun! Getting back on track after the holidays is never easy, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.
I found this in Emerson's backpack last night. Over the break we were talking football, and she mentioned her teacher Mr. N loved Green Bay and didn't like the Bears. So here's what the little instigator made for her teacher.
The domino master has been creating some sweet races. I love the ramp in this one. I also love the look on his face.
Daddy had to get a new car last week. A lady ran a red light and hit him on Riverside. Thank God he was okay...but the little silver bullet wasn't. I love the new SUV. Of course I haven't driven it yet...it's been sitting in the garage while he drives the rental. Once I get in that puppy, I think I'll really love it.

NYE dinner at Grammy & Grandpa's
Jason had an afternoon client appointment in Checotah on New Years' Eve, so the kids and I headed to Muskogee to have dinner with Grammy and Grandpa. The highlight of the evening was the time spent with the chickens and the dogs in the back yard! Pistol and Petey were shivering, even in their little jackets, but they were good sports about being held by the girls.
We headed home after dinner and the kids played with Daddy until bedtime. The rest of the night was spent finalizing a special year-end payroll report...yay for me! About one minute before midnight I noticed the time, jumped up from the computer, had Jason jump up from his, and dragged him into the living room so we could watch the ball drop. We shared a NYE kiss and promptly went back to the office to keep working. Now THAT'S an exciting NYE!!! That's the NYE of busy and exhausted small business owners. :) I'm thankful for the blessing of being busy...it's just proof of God's provision and faithfulness.
